Lukas Kienzle primarily advises on German and European antitrust law. This especially includes providing advice on antitrust fine, merger control and abuse proceedings in Germany and abroad, on how to structure distribution systems, cooperation between competitors, and licence agreements. He also provides preventive advice (compliance advice). Another focus of his work is how to organise subsidies in a legally compliant manner according to EU state aid law.
Lukas Kienzle studied law at the University of Passau (Germany). He obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from the College of Europe in Bruges (Belgium). As part of his legal training, he worked for the antitrust and state aid law department of a leading German business law firm in Brussels (Belgium) and for the European law unit of the German Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection in Berlin (Germany). Lukas Kienzle was admitted to the German Bar in 2016. Before joining Luther, he worked for the antitrust, state aid and European law departments of other leading business law firms.
