KONG Yuwei mainly provides legal advice on tax law, customs and employment law for German and European companies investing in China. Since she joined Luther Shanghai in 2019, she has been focusing on tax planning, customs affairs and labor disputes. For example, tax planning for wages and salaries for foreign employees, assisting foreign-invested enterprises in cross-regional tax transfer, and providing foreign-invested enterprises with relevant suggestions for optimizing corporate income tax, value-added tax and for customs declaration. Participating in the processing of large-scale labor disputes caused by suspension of production, relocation and closure of enterprises, dealing with employment contracts, and facilitating the settlement between the employer and employees on behalf of the corporate.
KONG Yuwei holds a Bachelor’s degree in law from Shanghai University and Masters’ degrees in law from East China University of Political Science (ECUPL) and from the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität of Munich (Germany) respectively. She passed the Chinese National Judicial Examination in 2014 and joined Luther Shanghai in 2019.
