Dr. Eva Drewes was counsel in the Luther Shanghai office and has for many years, been a great support to our China practice with close ties in the German community in Shanghai. She passed away (after a serious illness) on 25 September 2015 in Shanghai  at the age of 51.

Eva Drewes went to Taiwan as a student at the end of the 1980s and afterwards worked in Beijing, inter alia on several inter-governmental projects. She trained many German and Chinese law students and supported them in their professional development. As head of the Sino-German Institute for Law at Nanjing University and professor for business law at Tongji University, she has been actively contributing to the Sino-German dialogue on the rule of law.
