Dr Andreas Dürr was born in 1986. He studied law at Ludwig-Maximilian University (LMU) in Munich (Germany), which included completing a one-year study period at the University of Castilla-La Mancha in Toledo (Spain). After passing his first state law exam in 2012, he worked as a research assistant at the Chair for German, European and International Criminal Law and Criminal Procedural Law and White-Collar Crime at the Munich LMU (Professor Dr Helmut Satzger). In 2014, he worked at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in Den Haag, Netherlands, on a Carlo Schmid scholarship granted by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). In 2016, he was awarded the title “Magister Juris” from the University of Oxford (St. Peter’s College) in England. Andreas Dürr carried out his legal training at the Higher Regional Court of Berlin (Germany), which included working at the German Federal Ministry of Finance (EU financial control and fraud prevention), a large international law firm in Berlin, and a medium-sized German law firm in Munich. In 2018, he passed his second state law exam and, in addition, was awarded his doctorate. Andreas Dürr joined Luther as a lawyer in 2019 and works in the area of white-collar crime & compliance.

Areas of Practice

Dr Andreas Dürr defends individual clients and represents companies in criminal proceedings related to white-collar crime. He additionally provides preventive advice aimed at avoiding risks in the area of white-collar crime from the outset and carries out intra-company investigations. He also provides civil-law advice when it comes to recovering assets lost through criminal acts and to enforcing claims for damages.
