Curriculum vitae

Daniel Wegener was born in 1977. He studied law at Humboldt University in Berlin (Germany). Whilst at university, he worked for a medium-sized firm of lawyers and notaries, focusing on private building and architectural law. Following his admission to the German Bar in 2006, Daniel Wegener worked for a Berlin-based medium-sized firm of lawyers and notaries. In October 2010, he joined the firm Wollmann & Partner, where he worked in the areas of private building law, architectural and engineering law, and capital investment law. Daniel Wegener has been a certified specialist in building and architectural law since 2012. He joined Luther in 2017.

Areas of Practice

Daniel Wegener advises construction groups and medium-sized building companies as principals and contractors (e.g. in turn-key construction; as general contractors and coordinating general contractors; as members of a consortium (ARGE); vis-à-vis subcontractors), including on the drafting of contracts, during construction projects, and on change and claims management issues. In addition, he advises architects and engineers (during projects, on liability issues, on fee issues) and builders (during projects, vis-à-vis purchasers, vis-à-vis contractors). His services further include providing advice during the implementation of complex (large) construction projects. Furthermore, Daniel Wegener draws up opinions on complex building law issues and provides advice in the context of contract award procedures carried out in accordance with the Rules for the Award and Contents of Construction Contracts, Part A: General Provisions for the Award of Construction Contracts (VOB/A) and the Rules for the Award and Contents of Supply and Service Contracts (VOL).
