Curriculum vitae:

Eike Fietz was born in 1968 and studied law in Passau and at Monash University in Melbourne. He completed his traineeship at the State Supreme Court of Berlin, as part of which he worked at the court's 14th Civil Senate responsible for commercial matters and at the general counsel's office of the Berlin State Ministry for Finance. He was admitted to the bar in 1999 and joined Luther (or its respective predecessor) in the same year. In 2002 he was seconded to Rajah & Tann in Singapore, where he worked as a registered foreign lawyer in the firm's corporate department. Eike Fietz is currently a partner in Luther's Corporate Law/M&A team in Munich.


Areas of Practice:

Eike Fietz primarily advises his clients in M&A transactions, corporate finance transactions including initial public offerings and in national and cross-border restructurings. As he has acquired extensive professional experience in a number of industry sectors, his work in recent years has mainly focussed on businesses with a high affinity to technology, e.g. in IT, automotive, engineering and manufacturing sectors as well as in the services industry.


Clients:
  • Eike Fietz's clients include a Dutch listed financial software company, to which he has provided the entire range of legal services in Germany for the past several years.
  • He acted as legal counsel in a number of initial public offerings in Frankfurt and London, including the IPO of a German company on the London AIM.
  • Eike Fietz regularly acts as lead-counsel to stock-exchange listed companies as well as medium-sized business in acquisitions and restructurings. Amongst his most recent projects is the acquisition of a German target company for a NASDAQ-listed client and the subsequent legal and practical assistance, which helped the company to successfully enter the German market.
