Thomas Koch was born in 1977. Following formal training as banker, Thomas Koch studied law in Bonn, Germany. From 2008 to 2010 he was a member of the financial regulation group in the Frankfurt office of Linklaters. From 2010 to 2013 he worked for Baker & McKenzie in Dusseldorf. In 2013 Thomas Koch joined Luther.

Areas of Practice

Thomas Koch mainly advises domestic and international clients on banking and banking regulatory, capital markets laws and payment services laws. He assists clients in connection with strategic business and product development, and implementation of compliance structures as well as internal investigations. Thomas Koch has particular experience in advising on financial regulatory law aspects of transactions, joint ventures and restructuring of entities.

Further, Thomas Koch regularly advises investment funds and commercial investors on all aspects of venture capital investments.
